UN releases report on the impact of natural resource management on peacebuilding
For the past three years, the Center for Unconventional Security Affairs (CUSA) has been working as part of an Expert Advisory Group to the United Nations Environment Porgramme (UNEP) on Environment, Conflict and Peacebuilding. This group was assembled to help the UN system, through UNEP, develop ways to better integrate natural resources and the environment in ways that contribute to peacebuilding. The first output of CUSA's work with UNEP has just been released and was featured at a launch event at the United Nations Environment Programme's Post-Conflict and Disaster Management Branch in Nairobi, Kenya last Friday.
